Students are not allowed to carry phones and smartwatches in the exam hall.
Recently, some students took mobile phones with them and were caught clicking pictures of the question papers and posting the images on the internet trying to leak the papers via apps like TikTok. After investigating, the students were arrested by the police and they were marked RA (Reported Against) in their board exam.
Some universities have taken other innovative steps to curb malpractices during exam.
- Capture facial features of students on camera to avoid impersonation in examinations.
- Some universities have started live streaming of their examination centres to curb malpractices.
“Although the photo of the student is printed on the hall ticket, students change their hair style and sometimes look different from the photo they have pasted on the admission ticket. This makes it difficult for us to verify if the candidate is the same person as the one in the photo,” said an official.
Students are worried about their facial features being captured; they see it as an invasion of privacy and fear that their information may not be secure with th euniversity.
Board officials employ heightened security measures for the board exams. “We have flying squads and sitting squads to keep a vigil. The runner who carries the papers from the custody to the exam centre will also wait till the seal is broken,” said Sandeep Sangave, secretary of the state board’s Mumbai division.
How to stop cheating (use blinders) during exams in school (Funny)
Here’s an interesting way to stop students from cheating during exams; use blinders.
Teachers always try to ensure that exams are conducted in an environment where students are unable to resort to cheating. The more important the exam, they more the teachers are strict.
Despite being aware of the risks and the fact that teachers are keeping a hawk eye on them, there are some students who still try to cheat (copy) during exams.
Well, if you haven’t prepared for the exam, naturally you’re going to be desperate.
Now here’s an interesting way to make sure your students won’t resort to cheating/copying during exams. Put a big blinder on their face (similar to the way you put blinders on the eyes of horse so that they cannot see on the side or the rear and get distracted).
We are not sure which school is this, but mostly, some school in a remote area. It will most likely raise a big hue and cry in big cities like Mumbai. What do you say?
