Dear Mrs. Naidu is an extract from the novel of the same name by Mathangi Subramanian. Twelve-year old Sarojini writes a letter to the freedom fighter and poet, the late Mrs. Sarojini Naidu as part of a school assignment. Sarojini’s teacher gave her an assignment asking her to write a letter to someone whom she would like to get to know better. The girl decides to write the letter to freedom fighter Sarojini Naidu.
