Use a White Board to manage your projects

A White Board is definitely one of those tools and equipment that you need to help you work more efficiently. It can make your life so much easier.

Some use it for project management, some use it to understand things better, some use it to list numbers and other things so that they don’t forget about it, the fact is that most would feel lost without using one.

You can list all your projects based on importance; projects that have to be done, projects on hold, projects that you have to start on. You can also jot down your ideas, and more.

Why You Need a Whiteboard?

A whiteboard (aka “Dry-Erase” board) can help you to:

• Create your “To Do” lists
• Capture important reminders.
• Create flowcharts, storyboards, design layouts, web page layouts, brochure layouts, and more.
• Brainstorm ideas.
• List contact Numbers
• Temporarily record information
• Color important things using Dry-Erase markers (available in a variety of colors)
• Use it as a screen for your projector, in case you have one
• Most whiteboards include trays for holding the markers (or remotes), so they’re always right where you need them.

Create A Custom White Board

Here’s how to Create a Custom White Board.

Tools Required

• Shower board (big white sheet to draw/write on)
• Piece of 1/4″ inexpensive plywood to match the shower board.
• Find some Liquid Nails (construction adhesive) and a caulking gun to dispense the adhesive.

How to do It?

• Find an open space at home and put your new shower-board face down on the floor.
• Apply a generous amount of adhesive all over the back of the showerboard.
• Put the plywood down on top of the showerboard, make sure the corners match up well.
• Stack heavy stuff (books or other heavy weights) on top of the plywood to ensure proper bonding between the showerboard and the plywood, and leave it like that for a few hours.
• You are now ready to set it up wherever you want.

Electronic Whiteboards

Those who have worked in big organisations before, would definitely miss the electronic whiteboards that they use; those are sophisticated and lets you take print outs of the content on the whiteboard.

With the ones that you use at home, you’ll need to either copy or take a photo of the content.
