Tableau Themes (Fine/Applied ART)

A ​Tableaux​ vivant (‘living picture’) is a static scene containing one or more actors or models. They are stationary and silent, usually in costume, carefully posed, with props and/or scenery, and may be theatrically lit. A ​Tableaux​ may either be ‘performed’ live, or depicted in painting, photography and sculpture, such as in many works of the Romantic, Aesthetic, Symbolist.

THEME: ​MINIATURE TABLEAUX ON INDIAN CULTURE

Students can present the tradition of the county or state in the picture chariot (​Tableaux).

INTERACTIVE ART

This is ideal for sculpture artists, but will work with two dimensional mediums too. By this you will get an idea, how the audience can interact with your work. Moving parts, wheels, tactile layers, film or live photography and installations are all fair game. Include instructions that artists should make the works touchable and interactive-friendly​.

Students can present their innovative thoughts in miniature format.
