Maharashtra celebrates former president Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary as Vaachan Prerna Diwas or Reading Day in schools. On this day, children come to the school with only one book — a non-educational book.
On this day, children will not carry their school bags. But they have to bring one book (can be of any cost) which will be kept in the school library. This will help all students to read different books in their school every day.
